Title: Lead Youth Development Professional
Salary: $18 – $19/hour
Hours: Varying by Department (Athletics, Childcare, Teen) – Morning, Afternoon, Daytime, Evening, & Special Events
Location: Cumberland-Lincoln and/or Woonsocket Clubhouse
Overview: Lead Youth Development Professional take the lead in implementing fun and engaging youth activities at the BGCNRI Clubhouses and/or Riverzedge Arts. They work across all programs but have the opportunity to specialize in their greatest area of expertise and experience (Arts, Athletics, or Science and Technology). This is a part-time hourly position, up to 29 hours/week.
Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in the planning, scheduling, and implementation of Arts, Athletics, and/or Science and Technology curriculum.

Create an environment that highlights the achievement of youth and promotes a sense of safety, confidence, and belonging.

Demonstrate strong leadership skills in diverse environments.

Learn and adhere to Department of Human Services (DHS) child care licensing requirements.

Serve snacks and/or meals as needed.

Maintain accurate and complete records of attendance, meal service, and program participation.

Serve as a point of contact when the site coordinator/supervisor is unavailable.

Qualifications

Must be 21 and have a high school diploma or GED, some college preferred

Experience and interest in one or more of the following areas: Arts, Athletics, Science and Technology, Music, or other

Demonstrated success leading/facilitating group activities

Experience working successfully with children and youth

Required to sit, stand, talk, or hear; via computer, telephone, or in person as needed. Frequently required to engage in active play with children, including bending, reaching, running, and participating in age-appropriate physical activities and sports.

Must be able to lift, carry, and move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

May be required to work indoors and outdoors in varying environment conditions.

Successfully pass all BCI requirements

Must be or become certified in CPR, First Aid and AED
