Membership Receptionist (Donald W. Reynolds Clubhouse)

The Membership Aide welcomes members, parents, and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor while providing information about Club programs and assisting with membership processes. This role ensures the Club entrance remains secure, clean, attractive, and well-organized to create a positive first impression. The Membership Aide also monitors lobby activity to prevent unauthorized access to programming areas and coordinates with program staff during member pick-up.

These are some of the additional things you will do as a Membership Aide:

• Serve as the initial point of contact for members, parents, and visitors.
• Provide information on Club programs to members, parents, visitors, and respond to phone inquiries.
• Provide effective, informative, and positive customer service.
• Monitor lobby activity to prevent unauthorized access to restricted or programming areas, and coordinate with program staff during member pick-up.
• Ensure the Club entrance is secure, clean, organized, and visually welcoming to create a positive first impression for all visitors.
• Learn about programming requirements and objectives for the 5 core areas.

This is what your schedule would look like:

• This role is part-time and offers flexible scheduling to accommodate personal commitments or class schedules.
• Monday - Friday
• Shifts: 2 PM - 7 PM.
• Work location: Donald W. Reynolds Clubhouse (DWR) - 2680 East Ninth Street, Reno, NV.

We have great staff who can teach you skills on the job, but some traits will make you more successful as a Membership Receptionist.

• Bilingual – Fluent in conversational Spanish.
• Minimum of 17 years or older.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with a diverse population, and represent BGCTM professionally to the community.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Able to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

As part of our commitment to child and member safety, there are some additional steps that all hires will be asked to complete.

• You will need to provide 3 references. These references should be professional if you have work experience. If you don’t have work experience, these references can be any non-family member over the age of 18 who can speak to your character and professionalism.
• You will also be asked to complete a drug screen for any illegal substances, a background check, and a fingerprint check.
