System Administrator (MSP Team Lead)
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Compensation: $100,000 – $115,000 plus bonus opportunities and benefits
We are a growing Managed and Cloud Services Provider that partners with Microsoft and Google to deliver secure, modern IT solutions. Our team is expanding, and we’re looking for a System Administrator (Team Lead) who is ready to combine hands-on technical work with leadership and mentorship responsibilities.
In this role, you will guide a small team of engineers, manage escalations, and oversee hybrid cloud environments across Microsoft 365, Azure, and on-prem infrastructure. You’ll balance project delivery, client support, and team coaching while maintaining a high standard of service and collaboration.
What You Will Do
- Lead and mentor a team of Level 1 and Level 2 engineers, helping them grow their skills and improve service delivery
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex server, networking, and cloud issues
- Manage and optimize Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, ensuring reliability and security
- Implement technical projects including migrations, system upgrades, and infrastructure improvements
- Oversee endpoint and identity management using Intune, Entra ID, and Active Directory
- Work closely with clients to align technical operations with business objectives
- Encourage best practices and contribute to process improvement and documentation
What You Bring
- At least two years of experience in an MSP or multi-client IT environment
- At lead 1 year of IT Leadership experience as a Team Lead or Manager
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and Windows Server
- Prior leadership experience, such as team lead or mentorship of junior engineers
- Strong project experience with cloud migrations, network design, or infrastructure upgrades
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills with a client-first mindset
- The ability to balance hands-on technical work with people leadership and client collaboration
