What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Account Manager - Niche IT Cloud Staffing position at Bowman Williams?
Bowman Williams is a niche permanent placement firm focused exclusively on the IT Cloud and Managed Service Provider industry.
That niche focus (go niche or go home!) is what makes our model different.
Because we work in the same industry every day, with the same types of clients, roles, hiring patterns, and candidate profiles, our process is highly repeatable. Our team is not constantly switching industries, reinventing the wheel, or figuring out a new market from scratch.
Our culture is one in a million. We are supportive, we are friends, we are professionals, we are passionate and collaborative. Every win and loss is shared together and we are a unit building something great. We encourage likeminded people to apply.
For more than 16 years, we’ve partnered with over 1,000 clients across seven U.S. markets. More than 70% of our business comes from repeat clients year after year, giving our team a strong foundation of existing relationships, established credibility, and a clear market to manage.
How you spend your time & what you do.
- As a Client Account Manager, your role is to manage client relationships and drive direct-hire placements.
- You are NOT responsible for cold calling or new business development. We have a sales team for that.
- You are not responsible for sourcing candidates from scratch. We have recruiters for that.
- Your focus is client management.
- You will work with existing clients, take and qualify job orders, understand hiring needs, coordinate with our recruiting team, present candidates, manage feedback, guide the interview process, and help close placements.
- In plain English: you are given a client base, active searches, recruiter support, internal tools, training, and a proven niche. Your job is to own the relationship, keep the process moving, and turn activity into placements.
Why our model works & how you’re empowered.
- Our niche gives us a highly repeatable model.
- We know the industry. We know the roles. We know the types of companies we serve. We know what hiring managers care about. We know where searches get stuck. We know how to position candidates.
- That focus allows our Client Account Managers to spend less time figuring out the market and more time building trust with clients.
- We also invest in technology, automation, templates, workflows, and internal support so our team can work efficiently without unnecessary red tape or wasted steps.
- The result is a role where Client Account Managers are empowered to do the work that matters most: managing relationships, advising clients, moving searches forward, and closing business.
