Senior Estimator

Position Title: Senior Estimator

This role is essential for managing the estimating process within heavy highway projects. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of estimating, from bid advertisement to submission. Candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously while ensuring compliance with all necessary procedures. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and possess the drive to adapt quickly to the demands of the role. A strong background in public works projects will be advantageous for success in this position. Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 / Year DOE

Responsibilities

• Estimate full scope of work for heavy highway projects
• Manage the procurement of subcontractors
• Prepare and assemble Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
• Understand bid processes and manage bid closeouts
• Ensure compliance with all bid requirements
• Monitor public works bid advertisements and identify opportunities
• Assist with change orders pricing as needed
• Handle multiple bids concurrently while maintaining accuracy
  
  

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in estimating heavy highway work
• Strong public works experience is highly desirable
• A BA Degree is preferred
