Senior Accountant Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, debits, and credits
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
- Prepare financial reports and assist with audits
- Work collaboratively with accounting clerks on accounts payable and receivable
- Manage inventory accounting and related reconciliations
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a for-profit company
- Proficiency in month-end close processes and bank reconciliations
- A bachelor's degree in accounting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of accounting software
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs
- Experience in inventory management
- QuickBooks experience is preferred
- Experience with systems transitions is preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, inventory, and cost accounting is preferred
