Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities

Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities
- Support approximately five attorneys with case management and documentation
- Communicate regularly with attorneys regarding case status and updates
- Follow up on medical records and ensure all details are managed
- Handle calendaring, proofreading, and formatting legal documents
- Conduct document reviews and manage eDiscovery processes
- Assist with trial preparation and attend trials as required
- Maintain accurate billable hours and ensure compliance with court filing procedures
- Provide proactive communication to attorneys to keep them informed
- 5-10 years of litigation experience as a paralegal
- Defense Trial experience is necessary
- Knowledge of filing procedures in state and federal courts
- Experience with document review and eDiscovery processes
- A bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate, or 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word is required
- Experience in environmental litigation, catastrophic, personal injury, or general and commercial litigation is preferred
- Familiarity with iManage is preferred
