Litigation Attorney Responsibilities
- Represent clients in a broad range of civil litigation matters, including employment, civil rights, tax, environmental, real estate, and contract disputes
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation-related filings
- Conduct legal research, case analysis, and develop litigation strategies
- Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings
- Manage discovery, including document review and preparation of written discovery
- Provide legal counsel to local government clients on litigation risks and dispute resolution
- Assist with transactional work; contract drafting, review, and negotiation as needed
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting municipal and county clients
- Collaborate with partners and team members to effectively manage cases and client matters
- 1 years of experience in civil litigation
- Experience working with local government entities is preferred
- Exposure to matters involving employment, civil rights, tax, environmental, real estate, or contract disputes is a plus
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Georgia
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet monthly billable goals
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with Georgia municipal or county law is a plus
