- Oversee all financial processes, including job cost accounting and corporate accounting
- Manage month-end close, financial statements, variance analysis, and performance insights
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Work closely with the leadership team to drive profitable growth and strategic planning
- Ensure accurate project tracking, billing, change orders, and revenue recognition
- Lead WIP reporting and serve as liaison between Operations and Finance
- Maintain compliance with sales tax, payroll tax, and state regulations
- Partner with outside CPA firm on tax returns and annual financial reviews
- Improve accounting systems, processes, and internal controls
- Lead and mentor office/admin team members supporting accounting functions
- 3 years in a Controller role
- 3 - 5 years of construction accounting experience
- Strong QuickBooks expertise
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Highly organized with strong follow-through and deadline discipline
- Collaborative mindset and ability to be a trusted partner to operations
- Analytical thinker with strong strategic and problem-solving ability
- Adaptable with a process-improvement mindset
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
