Remote Territory Sales Manager Responsibilities
- Own and manage a large sales territory across North Jersey, New York, and Long Island
- Prospect and cold-call new customers while expanding relationships and revenue within existing accounts
- Conduct onsite visits, equipment evaluations, proposals, and presentations with clients ranging from C-suite to plant-floor operators
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to quoting, negotiation, closing, and oversight of installation and customer satisfaction
- Travel four days per week for customer visits, site walk-throughs, and project review
- Coordinate closely with manufacturers and internal teams to support delivery timelines, installation planning, and resolving field challenges
- Maintain accurate pipeline activity and documentation in CRM
- Participate in biweekly remote team sales meetings and collaborate closely with leadership
- 5 years of territory sales experience with heavy industrial equipment
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand how machinery operates
- Proven track record of sales success in field-based roles with long and short sales cycles
- Must live in New Jersey or New York
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the region and work independently
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak comfortably with both executives and rough-and-tough field environments
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and customer-service skills
- Tech-savvy with Microsoft Suite proficiency and CRM experience
- Must have personal vehicle
- Experience valued over degree; bachelor's preferred
