This is a true relationship-driven sales role for a banker who knows how to win business and keep it. A rapidly growing, full-service commercial bank is hiring a Commercial Banker to build and manage a portfolio of operating companies and professional clients across the Mobile and Baldwin County market. This role owns loan, deposit, and fee income goals, spends real time in the field meeting prospects face-to-face, and focuses primarily on C&I lending, with selective CRE exposure as needed. They are looking for a proven business developer who is comfortable prospecting, closing, and managing long-term client relationships in a fully onsite, performance-driven environment.

Commercial Banker Responsibilities
- Develop new commercial and private banking relationships through in-person prospecting and networking
- Originate business loans primarily for owner-operated and middle-market companies
- Generate and grow core deposits, fee income, and treasury relationships
- Manage and service an existing loan and deposit portfolio with strong credit discipline
- Support professional clients such as attorneys, physicians, and business owners
- Structure deals, prepare credit packages, and partner with internal credit teams
- Maintain portfolio quality while meeting annual production and growth goals
- Represent the bank in the local business community
- 2 - 10 years of commercial or private banking experience
- Demonstrated track record of business development and revenue generation
- Experience originating C&I loans
- Strong client-facing presence with the ability to build trust quickly
- Comfort working in a sales-driven, fully onsite environment
- Proficiency with banking systems and Microsoft Office
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Annual performance bonus up to 50% of base salary
