Boulder County Public Health Department is seeking to hire a Bilingual Administrative Support. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to immunization (IZ) clinics provided by the Communicable Disease and Emergency Management (CDEM) Division at Boulder County Public Health (BCPH). The position works closely with the Immunization Program Administrative Lead and the Program Coordinator to provide efficient and smooth IZ Program functioning. The position must be able to provide services in Spanish/English language, translation to nurses serving monolingual Spanish-speaking clients, as necessary. This position functions as part of the IZ Team and as such will attend staff meetings and provide input.

Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.

Examples of Duties
- Responsible to provide administrative duties during clinics on Mondays at the St. Vrain Community Hub in Longmont and Wednesdays in Boulder at the Sundquist building, and may be requested for occasional events in other locations on different days of the week or weekends
- Handles a variety of administrative tasks during clinics such as preparing client files, scheduling appointments, charging fees for services
- Reviews, verifies, and processes documents requiring expertise in departmental procedures, state statutes and legal forms like HIPAA requirements
- Assuring all forms, handouts, and information are up-to-date and available for each clinic
- Develops an effective working relationship with clients and families from multi-cultural communities to enhance problem-solving competence
- Provides and clarifies information about completing clinic registration forms for English and Spanish-speaking clients and uses language access tools to assist clients who speak other languages
- Provides Spanish/English language interpretation for nurses who serve monolingual Spanish-speaking families, as necessary
- Conducts quality assurance activities at each clinic
- Maintains office supply inventory and orders supplies for the clinics, when needed
- Maintains efficient record-keeping systems
- Uses computer software and applications to complete projects and responsibilities as needed including Microsoft Office, Medicaid billing, CIIS, Online Scheduler, Pay Portal and other systems
- Scans records and completes data entry for clinics operations
- Builds and maintains good working relationships with staff
- May be assigned to support public health emergency response activities during disease outbreaks or other events
- Performs related work, as required
