Product Owner, Payment Systems

Seeking an experienced Product Manager – Payment Solutions to support delivery, stabilization and orchestration of enterprise-scale payment initiatives across in-store & above-store app & web channels.

This role is execution heavy and delivery focused. Help deliver and stabilize how guests pay across in‑store, website, and mobile app experiences. This role sits at the heart of our commerce stack, owning card and digital wallet payments, stored‑value (gift cards), and vendor‑integrated payment flows that operate at enterprise scale.

You’ll be accountable for payment initiatives end‑to‑end. From defining requirements, coordinating delivery with engineering and payment processors, gateways, wallet providers, and POS partners, and optimizing performance across high‑volume, highly distributed environments. This role is well suited for a payments product manager who thrives on transaction reliability, partner orchestration, and measurable business impact

Responsibilities

Payment Delivery & Program Execution

· Own ‑execution of assigned payment initiatives across ins-‑tore, mobile, and web experiences.

· Translate Business, Treasury, and Tech Ops needs into product requirements for clarity, technical feasibility, accessibility, analytics coverage, and operational readiness.

· Manage delivery across the full lifecycle, from discovery through launch and post‑launch stabilization.

· Coordinate timelines, dependencies, and risks across multiple concurrent payment workstreams.

Vendor & Partner Orchestration

· Serve as the primary product interface for payment vendors and partners (e.g., processors, gateways, wallet providers, POS vendors).

· Drive clarity on scope, sequencing, and delivery expectations with external partners.

· Support standardization of enablement, change management, and escalation processes across vendors.

· Ensure vendor work aligns with internal priorities, controls, and operational readiness.

Must Have‑ Qualifications

· 5 years of experience in product management, ideally within payments, digital commerce, or fintech.

· 4 year and/or Bachelor’s degree is required, and an advanced degree in business, computer science, or a related field is a plus.

· Direct experience working with payments, payment processors, gateways, digital wallets, gift cards, or transactional platforms.

· Exposure to fraud, compliance, or payment reliability concepts.

· Hands‑on experience translating requirements into epics and user stories while leading agile events and managing delivery in Jira.

· Experience working with external vendors or technology partners and managing execution across organizational boundaries.

· Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel with competing priorities.

· Self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills for the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment.

Additional Nice-to-Have Experience

· Experience working in QSR, restaurant, retail, hospitality, or large-scale consumer platforms is preferred.
