An established national law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Trademark Docketing Specialist to join its Intellectual Property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented trademark professional who enjoys managing complex portfolios, mentoring colleagues, and playing a key role in improving docketing operations.

The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of U.S. and international trademark prosecution, exceptional organizational skills, and a collaborative approach to working with attorneys and legal support teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of U.S. and foreign trademark applications and registrations, ensuring accurate docketing and timely deadline management.
• Review and process correspondence from the USPTO, WIPO, foreign trademark offices, clients, and international counsel.
• Maintain accurate trademark records and deadlines using web-based docketing systems.
• Monitor trademark portfolios and generate reports identifying upcoming deadlines, portfolio status, and required actions.
• Serve as a resource for complex trademark docketing questions and escalated issues.
• Perform quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with firm procedures.
• Mentor and train team members, providing guidance on docketing best practices.
• Assist in developing training materials, standard operating procedures, and workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and docketing leadership to support efficient trademark operations.

Qualifications

• 4 years of trademark docketing experience required, preferably within a law firm environment.
• Strong understanding of U.S. and international trademark prosecution procedures, deadlines, and documentation.
• Experience with trademark docketing software such as PATTSYWAVE, WebTMS, FoundationIP, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with USPTO, WIPO, and international trademark office systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, proofreading, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage high-volume workloads and competing deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience mentoring, training, or reviewing the work of others is a plus.
• Associate's degree or paralegal certificate preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $32.94–$54.90 per hour (approximately $64,000–$107,000 annually based on a 37.5-hour workweek). Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and location.
