Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar and Restaurant Manager to oversee our bar and restaurant operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a deep understanding of food and beverage management. As the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, maintaining high standards of service, and leading a team of bartenders and staff.
Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the bar, ensuring efficient service and adherence to food safety standards.
- Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels to ensure availability.
- Train, supervise, and mentor bar staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
- Develop creative drink menus and specials that align with current trends while appealing to our clientele.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as company policies.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for order management and reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bartending or bar management within a food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and food management principles.
- Experience with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Previous experience in shift management or as an assistant manager is a plus.
- Passion for coffee or specialty beverages is desirable.
