What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safe Haven Residential Supervisor position at BOLEY CENTER?
Boley Centers, Inc., a nationally recognized and accredited behavioral health care agency, has an opening for a Safe Haven Residential Supervisor, who will supervise the operation of an assigned Safe Haven residential facility, to ensure staff provide and/or produce required services for clients in addition to maintaining proper records, reports, charts and other documentation as required by regulations, policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meets with assigned staff to provide guidance, training and performance management to include providing feedback, initiating disciplinary actions and performance appraisals.
- Supervises the medication management processes, ensuring records are maintained and problems are reported and communicated to proper personnel (i.e. doctor or Resource Coordinator). Also coordinates with the Licensed Practical Nurse, to ensure proper processes an procedures are followed. Maintains on-going verbal and written communication with facility staff, and other department personnel, regarding matters related to the safe and effective operation of the facility.
- Prepares and maintains staff schedules to ensure adequate staff coverage at all times.
- Reviews residents' charts to ensure compliance with RTF regulations, HUD, Medicaid requirements and other documentation requirements, taking appropriate corrective action regarding any deficiencies and ensures accurate census data is maintained and reported
- Works with Homeless staff to ensure client transitions from homelessness to the facility and ensures required HUD homeless verification documents are received prior to admission. Also oversees the intake, transfer and discharge processes, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
- Conducts evaluations and assessments of residents and provides residents, personally or in conjunction with other staff, one-on-one and group counseling sessions and, in the absence of staff, documents sessions in accordance with policies, practices and procedures.
- As needed, provides guidance and assistance to residents relating to skills development (i.e. cooking, cleaning, hygiene, personal affairs management, etc.) and arranges or provides transportation for residents.
- Responds quickly to crisis situations by using verbal and/or physical intervention techniques appropriate to the level of the situation.
- Ensures facility is in safe operating condition and that RTF and CARF regulations and standards of operation are being followed and takes appropriate and prompt action to correct any unsafe or out of compliance conditions.
Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in human services field. Education must be from an accredited school, college, or university.
Three to five years in a human services field with Bachelor's degree. Some experience working with mentally ill in residential setting preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
Special Requirements:
Valid Florida driver's license, auto insurance and own transportation vehicle required.

Salary : $52,000 - $57,200
