Position OverviewThe Vice President, Sales Projects is a senior executive responsible for leading high-impact sales initiatives, strategic programs, and cross-functional projects that drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and commercial excellence. This role oversees the planning and execution of key sales transformation projects, process improvements, market expansion initiatives, and enterprise-level revenue programs.
The VP of Sales Projects partners closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Finance, Operations, IT, and Executive Management to ensure strategic priorities are delivered on time, within budget, and with measurable business impact.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sales Projects & Execution- Lead enterprise-wide sales projects designed to improve revenue performance, customer acquisition, retention, and market penetration.
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives such as CRM optimization, sales process redesign, territory planning, pricing strategy, and channel expansion.
- Manage sales transformation programs aligned with corporate growth objectives.
- Oversee project roadmaps, timelines, resources, risks, and deliverables.
- Identify opportunities to accelerate sales productivity, shorten sales cycles, and improve win rates.
- Support new product launches, go-to-market initiatives, and strategic account expansion programs.
- Collaborate with Sales Executives to increase pipeline quality and forecasting accuracy.
- Implement scalable frameworks that improve sales execution across regions or business units.
- Partner with Marketing to align lead generation and demand creation programs.
- Work with Finance on revenue forecasting, budgeting, ROI analysis, and incentive planning.
- Coordinate with Operations and IT on systems integration, reporting tools, and process automation.
- Lead cross-functional project teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation.
- Establish KPIs for project success, sales productivity, revenue impact, and operational efficiency.
- Use data analytics to identify performance gaps and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Deliver executive dashboards, project updates, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Build, mentor, and lead project managers, sales operations leaders, and strategic initiative teams.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and execution excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10 years of leadership experience in sales operations, project management, commercial strategy, or revenue growth roles.
- Proven success leading complex, multi-functional sales projects with measurable ROI.
- Strong expertise in CRM systems, sales analytics, pipeline management, and forecasting.
- Excellent executive communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Experience in luxury goods, retail, SaaS, technology, manufacturing, healthcare, or consumer products.
- PMP certification or formal project management training preferred.
- Background in international sales transformation or multi-region commercial operations is highly valued.
