Job Summary
BNY is seeking a User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Analyst to support testing efforts within the Global Collateral platform. This role focuses on executing functional and regression testing, managing defects, and supporting production releases across a variety of products within a pod-based delivery structure.
This position is based in Lake Mary, FL and requires four days onsite per week with working hours from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM ET.
Key Responsibilities
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Execute functional and regression testing for system enhancements and new features. Develop and execute test cases, validate results, and ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Defect Management & Issue Resolution: Identify, document, and track defects through resolution. Communicate issues clearly to stakeholders and support remediation efforts across business and technology teams.
- Release & Implementation Support: Participate in monthly release cycles by validating enhancements across different product pods and ensuring readiness for production deployment.
- Production Support & Escalation: Act as the first line of support for UAT-related issues and serve as a liaison between business and technology teams for functional and system-related escalations.
- Test Planning & Documentation: Assist in creating test scenarios, onboarding guides, and documentation to support knowledge sharing and future team scalability.
- Collaboration & Agile Participation: Work within a pod-based Agile structure, attending meetings, providing testing updates, and preparing for upcoming testing cycles.
- Automation Readiness: Contribute to future automation initiatives by designing test cases with automation in mind and supporting the transition to automated testing tools.
- Data Validation & Analysis: Ensure accuracy of financial data during testing, including validation of asset movements such as cash, collateral, and securities.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in QA, UAT, or software testing environments
- Basic understanding of testing methodologies including functional and regression testing
- Experience with defect tracking and test case creation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to understand system workflows and data movement across applications
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate issues to stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
- Exposure to financial services, particularly custody, collateral management, or asset movement
- Understanding of SWIFT messaging or global custody operations
- Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Playwright or similar)
- Interest in leveraging AI tools within testing environments
