Job Summary:
This role provides critical back-office operational support focused on securities trade processing and settlements. The team handles settlement processing, trade inquiries, and exception management, ensuring trades are completed accurately and on time in alignment with market deadlines. This is a fast-paced, team-based environment requiring strong attention to detail, multitasking, and collaboration across internal teams and third-party partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trade & Settlement Processing: Monitor trade queues and settlement activity, ensuring trades are processed accurately and within required timelines
- Exception & Issue Resolution: Review and resolve operational exception reports, authenticate client instructions, and address discrepancies
- Operational Support: Respond to general trade and settlement inquiries received primarily via email; escalate issues to appropriate internal partners as needed
- Internal Communication: Coordinate closely with internal teams to confirm trade status, resolve breaks, and support end-to-end workflow continuity
- Reporting & Monitoring: Manage and prioritize multiple reports and mid-sized operational tasks throughout the day, shifting focus as critical items arise
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of securities and financial products (stocks, bonds, domestic and/or global trades)
- Financial operations or securities processing experience
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment while managing multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and change gears in a fast-paced operational setting
Preferred Experience:
- Understanding of global securities settlement processes
- Technical or systems-related background
- Prior experience monitoring trade queues or settlement exception reports
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Finance or related field a plus)
