Job Summary:
We are seeking a Client Operations Analyst, Markets Client Onboarding – Securities Finance to support the critical onboarding and maintenance of client accounts within the Securities Lending platform. This highly collaborative, detail-driven role is at the core of enabling day-to-day transactions across BNY’s proprietary securities finance programs. The ideal candidate brings operational precision, strong communication skills, and an interest in working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
This is a 6-month contract located onsite in Pittsburgh, PA, with a strong likelihood of conversion to full-time employment. The position follows a requirement to be in the office at least 4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Onboard new Securities Finance client accounts onto the Global One platform and link them to BNY’s custody systems
- Maintain and update client account attributes to enable or restrict securities, adjust credit exposure limits, and facilitate transaction requirements
- Monitor and resolve issues from daily and weekly control and exception reports
- Manage internal requests and inquiries via a queue-based case management system
- Support client offboarding activities, ensuring accurate termination of accounts and associated documentation
- Assist in the development and implementation of control practices to reduce manual oversight and improve process efficiency
- Engage with internal stakeholders across Trading, Legal, Sales, Core Ops, and Technology to align onboarding efforts with business priorities
- Process high volumes of data entry tasks with speed and accuracy under tight timelines
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and process improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required (Finance or Business preferred)
- 3–5 years of total work experience in operations, client onboarding, or data processing roles
- Excellent attention to detail and time management in high-pressure environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interface with internal teams and external clients
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks within a high-volume, deadline-driven workflow
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in securities lending, custody, or client onboarding within financial services
- Familiarity with control frameworks, exception reporting, or queue-based operational workflows
- Exposure to tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Project or stakeholder coordination experience, even in junior-level roles
- Knowledge of market products or transaction processing
