The Role
As our Production Supervisor, you will be the heartbeat of our manufacturing floor. You won't just be managing processes; you will be leading people. You will be responsible for guiding a dedicated team of production associates, ensuring our safety, quality, and output goals are not just met, but exceeded.
This role is for a proactive problem-solver who champions Lean manufacturing principles and believes that the best results come from an engaged, well-supported team.
What You’ll Do
- Lead with Purpose: Direct, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of production associates on the shop floor to meet daily production schedules and performance KPIs.
- Champion Safety First: Cultivate a zero-harm culture. Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits and leading by example.
- Drive Uncompromising Quality: Oversee product quality standards, ensuring all parts and assemblies meet strict industry specifications. Identify and immediately address any deviations.
- Fuel Continuous Improvement: Utilize Lean Manufacturing methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma) to eliminate waste, optimize workflow, and improve overall line efficiency.
- Solve Problems at the Root: Lead daily shift meetings, track performance metrics, and utilize root-cause analysis to troubleshoot bottlenecks, equipment downtime, or material shortages.
- Develop Your Team: Actively participate in the hiring, onboarding, and continuous training of your staff. Conduct performance reviews and create growth paths for your team members.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner seamlessly with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth operations and implement facility-wide improvements.
What You Bring to the Table
- Experience: 3 years of progressive leadership/supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Leadership DNA: A proven track record of successfully managing, coaching, and inspiring hourly production teams.
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control systems. Mechanical aptitude is highly preferred.
- Lean Expertise: Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S, and continuous improvement techniques.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. You know how to talk to your team, not just at them, and can effectively present data to upper management.
- Agility & Resilience: The ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure and adapt to shifting daily priorities.
- Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
