The Opportunity
Bluewater is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support the execution of day-to-day shipping and project coordination across its growing teams. This role sits at the center of the order fulfillment process, offering a high level of collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and customers. You’ll likely work across a mix of domestic and international shipments, in a fast-moving environment with a high level of impact.
The role is well suited for someone who values a high level of ownership, is comfortable creatively problem solving to resolve issues as they arise, and enjoys being directly involved in operational growth!
Requirements
What You’ll Own
Coordinate end-to-end domestic and international logistics execution, ensuring shipments are properly documented, compliant with requirements, delivered on time and seamlessly
Serve as the primary point of contact for shipment status, proactively communicating updates, delays, and resolutions to customers, vendors, and other stakeholders
Partner with Sales and internal teams to align on deal requirements, timelines, and execution, ensuring customer commitments are met
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across internal systems, utilizing CRM and supply chain software
Onboard and manage vendors, including carriers, freight brokers, freight forwarders, and other service providers
Drive continuous operational improvement by identifying and optimizing opportunities to streamline logistics processes and reduce risk
Use creative problem solving to resolve escalations such as carrier delays or documentation discrepancies to ensure timely fulfilment and unlock new capabilities!
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
3–7 years of experience in shipping, logistics, supply chain, or operations
International shipping coordination, import, and export clearance exposure is a plus!
Experience managing domestic freight across carriers, brokers, 3PLs, or freight forwarders
Proficiency with logistics systems, CRM software, or transportation management tools (TMS)
Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits or vendor coordination
