Job Summary:
The Retail Budtender will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing plans to drive traffic, increase sales, and build brand awareness. This role requires a creative and analytical thinker with a strong understanding of the cannabis industry and regulatory environment. Additionally, the individual will assist as a retail budtender when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sales and customer experience by maintaining a tidy, safe, and inviting store environment
- Ensure the sales floor is properly stocked and the presence of the store is well maintained
- Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established policies and procedures
- Maintain product knowledge
- Greeting customers warmly when they enter and ensuring they are given the Cookies Culture experience.
- Accurately use and maintain the Point of Sale (POS) system in person and for placing online/phone orders
- Correct cash handling and discount application
- Accurate and timely data entry of patient profiles
- Verifying proper paperwork, documentation, and ID for customers
- Other duties as assigned by the Management Team
Other duties:
- Monitor cash in drawers and let Leads know when drops are needed.
- Work scheduled shifts as assigned by the Store Manager or General Manager.
- Clean and organize work areas and bathrooms as directed by supervisors
- Check schedule daily for shift changes
- Check customer ID verifying compliance with all rules and regulations.
- Create Customer profiles and gather key information when possible, including email addresses, phone numbers and birthdates.
- Work a minimum of one check-in shift per week
- Complete online orders (at Check In)
- Advise patients on effects and dosage of edibles, topicals, concentrates and flower.
- Monitor and organize Montell shelves with cannabis and non-cannabis items
- Maintain updated, clean, organized, and accurate product display shelves and fridge
- Keep price tags updated and accurate
- Update flower, edible, and concentrate display sample tables
- Be knowledgeable about products and promotions, share information with customers
- Complete sales transactions compliantly and accurately
- Keep budtender drawers stocked with exit bags and receipt paper
- Assist with maintaining accurate product photos and descriptions in POS system
- Assist with product labeling, inventory counts, and other duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager, Store Manager, or General Manager.
- Answering phone calls
- Other duties as directed by Manager on Duty (MOD)
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid State-Issued Driver’s License.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Valid food handlers permit.
- Satisfactory Background check

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous food service or retail experience (preferred)
- Previous industry experience (preferred)
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Maintain eligibility to work in the Cannabis Industry
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to generally stand, bend, walk, stoop, and kneel for prolonged periods, and sit occasionally.
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
- Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours at a time.
- You must be able to lift at least 50 pounds safely and properly.
- Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to workdays, nights, holidays and weekends.

- 7-8-hour shift with (30 min – 1-hour lunch)
