In this vital role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our premises by monitoring activity, ensuring compliance with safety and legal standards, and providing a welcoming experience for all visitors, staff, and vendors.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an attentive and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to join our team at Blue Whale Enterprises, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the premises of our cannabis facility, responding promptly to security incidents, and always maintaining a vigilant presence. Your duties will include conducting regular patrols, verifying authorized access, enforcing policies and safety protocols, and collaborating with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, good physical condition, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a welcoming and professional experience, ensuring all patrons feel comfortable and valued.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor suspicious activity, security breaches, and ensure overall safety.
• Verify the identities of employees, vendors, and visitors to ensure authorized access in compliance with legal and company guidelines.
• Detect, respond to, and report security incidents promptly, maintaining detailed incident reports and documentation of daily activities.
• Enforce facility policies and procedures, including compliance with cannabis regulations, safety protocols, and access controls.
• Assist with entry and exit procedures, ensuring procedures are followed accurately and securely.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency services, and other relevant personnel as needed.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity while upholding the highest standards of conduct.
• Effectively manage conflict and de-escalate situations through strong conflict management skills.
• Identify potential security risks and implement proactive measures for loss prevention.
• Ensure the safety of staff, visitors, and property at all times.
• Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall security and safety objectives.

Qualifications:

• Valid State-Issued Driver’s License.
• 21 years of age or older.
• HIPAA Certified
• Valid New Mexico Guard Card (Unarmed Security License) is required.
• Prior security or law enforcement experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong observational and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous industry experience (preferred)
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Maintain eligibility to work in the Cannabis Industry

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to generally stand, bend, walk, stoop, and kneel for prolonged periods, and sit occasionally.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds safely and properly.
• Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to workdays, nights, holidays and weekends.
• Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
• Good vision and hearing.

• 8-12-hour shift with (30 min – 1-hour lunch)
• Weekdays and weekends

• Graveyard Shifts
