Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with an automotive manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Design Engineer. This role is responsible for designing rubber and structural components and developing CAD models to meet customer requirements while supporting global engineering teams. The position also plays a key role in technical analysis, project coordination, and customer-facing engineering support.
Job Duties
- Lead the design and development of rubber products to meet customer specifications
- Create and modify 3D CAD models for structural and automotive components
- Develop and present technical reviews using data from testing and engineering analysis teams
- Interpret load-deflection curves and FEA strain results to support design decisions
- Communicate design challenges, risks, and updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure timely delivery of engineering documentation aligned with program timelines
- Participate in customer meetings, including occasional off-hours, to support global teams
- Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and accuracy
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain prototype costs and issue purchase orders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product engineering, testing, and leadership
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Up to 5 years of experience with automotive components
- Proficiency in CAD design (NX or Solid Edge preferred)
- Experience creating 3D models and engineering drawings
- Ability to interpret FEA results and engineering test data
- Strong understanding of automotive standards and specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Solid mathematical and analytical skills
- Experience designing rubber or elastomer-based components
- Familiarity with global engineering collaboration (Europe/Asia time zones)
- Experience working with prototype sourcing and supplier coordination
- Exposure to product validation or test lab environments
- Knowledge of load-deflection analysis and material behavior
- Experience managing multiple concurrent engineering projects
- French or Chinese language proficiency
