Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Paralegal - Regulatory Compliance (HR & EH&S). This role is responsible for managing regulatory compliance across employment law, workplace safety, and environmental standards while supporting cross-functional teams with documentation, audits, and reporting requirements.
Job Duties
- Monitor and interpret changes in labor, employment, environmental, and safety regulations
- Maintain compliance documentation, including employee files, safety training records, and MSDS/SDS logs
- Support internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory investigations
- Draft and update employment agreements, compliance policies, and legal summaries
- Assist HR with FMLA, ADA, EEO, immigration, and wage/hour compliance
- Coordinate safety training and ensure contractor and visitor compliance with EH&S standards
- Track and report on safety metrics, incident investigations, and corrective actions
- Develop and administer compliance training across HR, Legal, and EH&S functions
Skills & Experience
Required:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Human Resources, Environmental Science, or related field
- Paralegal certification (completed or in progress) required
- 4–6 years of experience in paralegal, HR compliance, or EH&S compliance roles
- Knowledge of employment law, workplace safety, and environmental compliance
- Experience with compliance audits, reporting, and documentation protocols
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS, and document control systems
Desired:
- HR or EH&S certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, OSHA 30, CHMM, etc.)
- Experience in energy storage, automotive, or manufacturing industries
- Familiarity with OSHA 300 logs, environmental permits, and regulatory filings
- Knowledge of I-9 audits, E-Verify processes, and employee handbook updates
