School Speech Language Pathologist - Kent, Washington

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized speech and language services within an educational setting in Kent, WA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse student population, supporting their communication development and enhancing their academic success.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school district policies and state regulations
• Participate in team meetings and provide training or resources as needed

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
• Valid SLP license applicable for school settings
• Experience working within schools is highly preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet varied student needs
