Exciting opportunities are now available for experienced physical therapists with a passion for working in school settings. These contract roles offer a consistent Monday–Thursday schedule, giving you three-day weekends to enjoy all summer long.
Choose from two distinctive summer programs:
Extended School Year (ESY):
- In-person role, 4 days per week (Monday–Thursday)
- Program dates: June 29th – July 30th
- Pre-program professional development: June 25th
- Hours: 9:30 am – 3:30 pm at Special Education Schools; 8:00 am – 2:00 pm at General Education Schools
- Maximum of 6 hours per day, 24 hours per week
Infants and Toddlers Services and Assessments:
- Program dates: June 22nd – July 30th
- No services/assessments on Fridays
- Maximum of 7 hours per day, 28 hours per week
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, special education teams, and families
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy for students as assigned
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for infants, toddlers, or school-aged students
- Develop and implement individualized goals and treatment strategies
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP/IFSP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Engage in required professional development
