A licensed Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to support school health services in Lowell, MA, on a contract basis through the end of the 2025-2026 school year. This opportunity involves working at Locke Middle School, Monday through Friday from 6:50 a.m. to 1:50 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the health office alongside the primary nurse to provide care and support for students.
- Manage and monitor individual health needs, with specific attention to students diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus.
- Administer medications, treatments, and maintain accurate health records.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to promote student health and well-being.
- Respond promptly to health emergencies or concerns during school hours.
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts RN license (LPN applicants will not be considered).
- Experience in school nursing or similar healthcare settings preferred.
- Ability to work effectively within a school environment and engage with children.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
