Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapist license required
- Previous pediatric or school-based PT experience preferred
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families
- Ability to develop and implement IEP goals and treatment plans
- Organizational talent with flexible approaches for different age groups
- Must be available to work in person
Top Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to K–12 students to support academic participation and functional independence
- Assess students’ motor skills, mobility needs, and equipment requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to develop, document, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver therapy using research-based methods tailored to developmental stages
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and staff in-services as needed
- Maintain thorough records of sessions, progress, and outcomes
- Adapt approaches to meet evolving student needs across the district
