BlackRock Resources is seeking candidates for a Certified Welding Engineer to support our manufacturing client in Joplin, MO. This role focuses on advanced welding and joining processes, early product design support, process development, equipment implementation, failure analysis, and company-wide welding training.

- Serve as the welding subject matter expert across multiple manufacturing sites
- Support new product design with material selection, joint design, and welding requirements
- Develop, qualify, and document advanced welding processes and procedures
- Specify, implement, and qualify new welding equipment and technologies
- Lead weld-related failure investigations and troubleshooting
- Conduct welding training, certification, and mentoring for engineers and technicians
- Participate in shop floor audits and process improvement initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Welding, Materials, Metallurgical, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
- 7 years of hands-on welding engineering experience
- AWS welding certification (CWI/SCWI)
- Experience with AWS D17.1/D17.2 standards
- Automated or robotic welding and equipment programming experience (preferred)
- Expertise in advanced welding processes (laser, resistance, ultrasonic, GTAW, brazing)
- Experience with aerospace or other high-reliability manufacturing environments
- Strong technical documentation and process qualification skills
- Candidates must be a US Citizen
