Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Role Overview: A Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor and Delivery provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for mothers and newborns, supporting approximately 1,500 to 1,700 deliveries annually.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients, including high-risk pregnancies and postpartum recovery.
• Administer medications and manage patients requiring surgical interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document care plans, and revise as needed.
• Develop individualized care plans, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Complete clinical research forms and adhere to organizational policies.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: at least 6 months of RN experience and clinical ladder progression.
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

Additional Requirements

• Participation in ongoing education, including 5 CEUs annually.
• Physical ability to perform medium work, including walking, standing, and lifting.
• Compliance with safety and organizational policies.
  
  

Compensation & Location: Pay range is $38.67 - $51.92 per hour, located in Rochester. The role involves day, evening, and night shifts, with on-call duties and every other weekend/holiday work.
