About the role:
As a Equipment Yard Technician, you will play a crucial role in our operations. Your key responsibilities will include meticulously washing and detailing rental equipment before delivery, inspecting small equipment for quality, managing the hookup and receiving of trailer or smaller rented items, and enhancing the visual appeal of our yard. If you like being outside, tinkering with and fixing mechanical and electrical issues on many different types of machines and equipment-Join us in delivering exceptional service and keeping our standards high!
A typical day might include the following:
- Prepping yard for start & close of business (gates, pumps, etc.)
- All small to medium equipment is "Rent Ready" and staged or pre-loaded
- Loading & Unloading customers as yard flow dictates
- As equipment returns, notify Counter of current hours & fuel needed by handheld radio
- Stage returned equipment for turnaround or repair & wash equipment
- Ensure the yard area is kept clean & organized (moving equipment and/or vehicles)
- Deliver equipment to jobsites or customer homes
Job Requirements:
- Ability to take instruction and understand goals and processes
- Safety awareness
- Self-motivation
- Able to pass a Forklift, AWP, and propane training test
- Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
- Experience as service technician (mechanic) and/or electrician is NICE TO HAVE
- Ability to work fluctuating schedules which include some Saturdays
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds several times throughout a shift
- % of workday performing, but not limited to:
- Standing 50%
- Walking 45%
- Sitting 5%
