Assistant Business Administrator
Job Goal
To provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extra-curricular program, when full-time drivers are absent.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Must hold a valid N.J. CDL Class B License with passenger endorsement, no passenger restrictions and School Bus Endorsements
- Demonstrate aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
- Ability to maintain passenger discipline to ensure their safety and well-being and protect against vandalism
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Assistant Business Administrator
Job Goal

Performance Responsibilities
- Conducts a daily safety inspection of the bus, completes the School Bus Condition Report and submits them weekly.
- Obeys all traffic laws.
- Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness.
- Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses.
- Maintains discipline when students are on the bus daily.
- Reports undisciplined students to the proper authority.
- Adheres to established routes, designated bus stops and keeps to assigned time schedule.
- Discharges students only at authorized stops.
- Keeps assigned bus clean and fueled.
- Exercises responsible leadership when on out -of -state school trips.
- Transport only authorized students.
- Reports all accidents and completes required reports.
- Enforces regulations against smoking and eating on the bus.
- Plan trip directions prior to departure with plans for potential road assistance if the bus breaks down.
- Remove snow as needed to ensure the bus is safe for operations and travel on roadways.
- Keep the proper amount of fuel in the bus at all times.
- Complete all required training in a timely manner.
- Perform any and all other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
