Bishop & Company is partnering with a respected Hawaii-based organization to identify a Safety & Emergency Preparedness Specialist - Safety Advisor/Specialist who can strengthen safety culture across active, real-world operational environments.
What This Role Looks Like
This position blends daily safety execution with long-term preparedness and continuous improvement. You’ll work side-by-side with operations teams to ensure safety practices are not just followed—but understood, reinforced, and sustained.
You’ll contribute to both immediate safety needs and future readiness, helping teams stay prepared, compliant, and proactive.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Strengthen and support safety programs, procedures, and incident investigations
- Partner with field teams to reinforce safe work practices and risk awareness
- Support emergency response planning, drills, and multi-site coordination
- Deliver training sessions that engage—not just inform
- Maintain safety equipment, documentation, and SDS systems
- Help drive a proactive, people-first safety culture across operations
- Ensure adherence to OSHA standards and applicable safety regulations
- Respond as needed in a 24/7 operational environment during emergency situations
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in safety, emergency management, or a related field
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and safe work practices
- Experience facilitating training, toolbox talks, or safety meetings
- Comfortable working in operational or field-based environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint especially helpful)
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card within 60 days
Highly valued:
- Experience in energy, fuel storage, construction, industrial, or logistics environments
- Emergency response or preparedness experience
(No degree required—practical experience matters here.)
Additional Details
- On-site role based in Kapolei with interisland travel as needed - While local or those with ties to Hawaii candidates are preferred, will consider out-of-state candidates
- Must be open to occasional after-hours support due to 24/7 operations
- 4/10 schedule offered—long weekends built in
Compensation & Benefits
- $100,000–$120,000 bonus eligibility (based on experience)

Compensation and title are determined individually for each candidate based on the skills and experience they bring to the role. The expected starting salary range for this position is typically an estimated $100,000 – $130,000 annually, with additional bonus eligibility. This salary is not a guarantee of a specific salary or title; final compensation and title depend on multiple factors, including education, experience, certifications, and other job related requirements, and may fall outside the range listed above.
