- Provides individualized and small-group instruction based on student needs
- Implements IEP goals, accommodations, and specialized instructional strategies
- Supports students' academic, behavioral, communication, social, and functional development
- Creates a structured and predictable classroom environment that promotes student success and independence

- Combination of resource and inclusion services
- Provides specialized academic support to students within and outside of the general education classroom
- Collaborates with general education teachers to support access to the curriculum
- Implements accommodations and modifications outlined in student IEPs
- Provides individualized and small-group instruction based on student needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with student goals and educational needs.
- Differentiate curriculum, instructional materials, and teaching strategies.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Implement positive behavioral and classroom management strategies as appropriate.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development.
- Support students in developing academic, behavioral, social-emotional, communication, and functional skills.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Exceptional Children Education, or a related field is a plus
- Active North Carolina Special Education/Exceptional Children teaching license required or eligibility to obtain.
- Experience working with students with Autism preferred, particularly in a self-contained setting.
- Experience with middle school resource or inclusion services is a plus
- Knowledge of IEP development, differentiated instruction, accommodations, and progress monitoring.
- Strong classroom management, communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary school team.
- School-based setting in Troutman, NC.
