Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Assist with implementation of individualized therapy plans and student communication goals.
- Support students with articulation, language, social communication, and other speech-related needs.
- Monitor student progress and assist with documentation.
- Collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and school staff.
- Provide engaging therapy activities that support student communication development.
- Maintain accurate service records and follow established therapy procedures.
- Valid SLPA credential/license required according to Virginia requirements.
- Completion of an approved SLPA program preferred.
- Experience working with children or in educational settings preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively under SLP supervision.
- School-based setting supporting students with diverse communication needs.
