- Special Pre-K Classroom
- Autism Self-Contained Classroom
- Additional elementary, middle, and high school special education opportunities based on district needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs and educational goals.
- Provide differentiated instruction for students with a variety of disabilities and learning challenges.
- Deliver services in inclusive, self-contained, push-in, or pull-out models depending on student placement.
- Implement positive behavior supports and classroom management strategies.
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff trainings, and multidisciplinary planning sessions.
- Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
- Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes student growth and independence.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field preferred.
- Active South Carolina Special Education teaching certification required (or ability to obtain through reciprocity/provisional pathways).
- Experience working with students with mild/moderate, moderate/severe disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or early childhood special education preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Passion for supporting students with diverse educational and behavioral needs.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and meet compliance timelines.
- School-based setting with opportunities at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
- Immediate openings include Special Pre-K and Autism Self-Contained classrooms.
- Additional opportunities may include self-contained, inclusive, and resource classroom models.
- Collaborative support from administrators, multidisciplinary teams, and related service providers.
