Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly capable Finance Engineer with a unique combination of treasury and risk domain expertise, full-stack development experience, and hands-on AI capabilities. This role is designed for a business-minded technologist who can independently design, build, and deploy solutions that support treasury, risk, and finance functions while reducing reliance on centralized engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business and technology, combining deep knowledge of financial processes, treasury operations, and risk frameworks with modern software engineering practices and AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT). This individual will own end-to-end solution delivery from requirements and architecture through development, deployment, and ongoing enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy full-stack applications supporting treasury, risk, and finance analytics use cases.
- Partner directly with Treasury, Risk, and Finance stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to accelerate software development, code transformation, testing, documentation, and workflow automation.
- Build and support solutions related to treasury management, liquidity analysis, cash forecasting, funding, balance sheet management, and risk analytics.
- Independently execute data transformations, workflow automation, and system integrations with minimal reliance on centralized engineering teams.
- Develop APIs, backend services, and front-end applications to enable self-service reporting, analytics, and operational workflows.
- Integrate across financial systems, treasury platforms, risk engines, accounting systems, and enterprise data platforms.
- Design and implement scalable data models and business logic supporting finance, treasury, and risk processes.
- Translate business requirements into technical architectures and production-ready solutions.
- Ensure best practices in software engineering, code quality, testing, security, performance optimization, and maintainability.
- Contribute to the modernization of finance and treasury technology ecosystems through automation, AI, and engineering best practices.
- Define reusable technical components, frameworks, and standards that improve development efficiency and business self-sufficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience as a full-stack developer with hands-on expertise across frontend, backend, APIs, and system integration.
- Proven ability to independently deliver end-to-end technical solutions from requirements through deployment.
- Deep understanding of finance, treasury, and/or risk management processes and supporting technology platforms.
- Experience supporting treasury functions such as liquidity management, cash forecasting, funding, balance sheet management, or financial risk analysis.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding and productivity tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate software development and transformation initiatives.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Java, or similar.
- Experience with APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and enterprise system integrations.
- Strong understanding of financial data models, financial systems, treasury workflows, and risk frameworks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience within financial services, banking, capital markets, asset management, or consulting environments.
- Knowledge of treasury management systems, risk platforms, accounting systems, or financial data platforms.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with data engineering concepts, transformation pipelines, and analytics platforms.
- Exposure to risk model implementation, model lifecycle management, or quantitative analytics frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile, DevOps, or rapid product delivery environments.
