Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical Quantitative Analyst to support financial data analysis, modeling, and AI-driven transformation initiatives within a leading financial services environment.
This role requires a unique blend of financial domain expertise, data modeling capabilities, and systems analysis experience. The ideal candidate will quickly develop an understanding of fund-level upstream data sources, financial data structures, accounting processes, and underlying application logic to help define the firm's target-state data architecture and AI strategy.
The successful candidate will serve as a bridge between Finance, Technology, Data Engineering, and AI teams, producing high-quality artifacts including data flow diagrams, business requirements, functional specifications, and data models that support the development of next-generation analytics and AI-enabled solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret accounting, fund accounting, and financial datasets to support business decision-making, reporting, and transformation initiatives
- Quickly identify and document upstream fund-level data sources, financial attributes, data lineage, and data dependencies across the enterprise
- Develop a deep understanding of accounting system workflows, financial processing logic, and underlying application code to support target-state architecture design
- Produce detailed artifacts including data flow diagrams, process maps, business requirements, functional specifications, and data dictionaries
- Partner with stakeholders to define future-state data models and architectures that support advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning use cases
- Design, build, and maintain robust data models aligned with financial, accounting, and risk management frameworks
- Work with large, complex datasets in Snowflake and SQL-based environments
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
- Translate financial reporting requirements and business objectives into scalable data-driven solutions
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Risk, Data Engineering, Architecture, and AI teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment
- Support the development of AI-ready datasets and metadata structures that enable model training, reporting automation, and intelligent analytics
- Ensure data quality, governance, lineage, and consistency across systems
- Contribute to enterprise data strategy, target-state architecture, and modeling standards
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of strong understanding of accounting principles, fund accounting concepts, and financial data structures
- Proven experience analyzing complex financial datasets and reporting environments
- Experience documenting business processes, data flows, requirements, and functional specifications
- Ability to rapidly understand upstream and downstream data ecosystems within financial services organizations
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying, transformation, and data analysis
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data platforms
- Experience designing and maintaining financial data models
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively across business and technology teams
- Experience working across multiple data sources and reconciling complex financial information
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in quantitative analysis, financial engineering, business analysis, or data analytics
- Experience within asset management, fund accounting, capital markets, treasury, or risk management environments
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, or data science initiatives
- Experience supporting enterprise data transformation or target-state architecture programs
- Familiarity with data lineage, metadata management, and governance frameworks
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data engineering practices
- Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments

**The base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $160,000, with flexibility for exceptional candidates**
