BioThane Coated Webbing Corp is a manufacturer in Northeast Ohio that produces the world's best plastic-coated webbing. The punch press operator position is located in our Fabrication Department.
Job Summary
The primary responsibility for this position is to run the punch press equipment to efficiently meet department goals and drawing/quality specifications. This includes working with dies, fixtures, tooling and all equipment associated with the punch press. This position should work effectively with floor leadership, quality personnel, engineering, and maintenance. This position should strive to meet company goals and objectives, seek assistance when necessary, and be open to working with others to solve problems. Essential Duties
· Set up and collect the required materials to run the punch press in a way that produces pieces that meet work order instructions, drawing/quality specifications and department goals.
· Follow guidelines established for safety purposes and immediately report any safety issue or accident/injury.
· Follow all set up procedures and processes.
· Use quality specifications and drawings provided, identify defective parts.
· Use calipers or other measuring devices to ensure that product is within the dimension specification.
· Perform all quality measurement required on the work order and constantly monitor product for spec and visual anomalies.
· Store all boards and tooling/fixtures as required.
· Print labels for finished goods.
· Accurately follow and complete all documentation.
· Stage the required materials and equipment (i.e.: board, tooling, paper, etc.) for the next job.
· Notify Group Leader/Manager regarding press stoppage, equipment failures, tooling problems or raw materials shortages.
· Clean and lubricate machines and performs routine maintenance.
· Feed replacement parts and materials inventory and notify supervisor when stock is low.
· Strive to meet department goals for prime rates and quality.
· Function at a high level in a team-based, problem-solving environment.
· Follow directions and seek clarification from Manager as needed.
· Keep work area clean and organized.
· Treat coworkers as you would want to be treated.
· Have reliable attendance and punctuality.
· Must be able to work overtime.
· Perform basic math and some conversions.
· Actions and communications should contribute to a productive team environment.

Physical Demands/Work Environment
· The job operates in a factory environment. This role frequently uses factory equipment such as punch press machine, straight-edge cutter, box cutter and tape gun. This role rarely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment and building can be loud.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is constantly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. Fine motor manipulation, gripping and repetition motions required. The lifting requirement is 60 lbs.
· The employee is frequently/constantly required to stand for long periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, product defects, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Required Education and Experience
· High School diploma or equivalent (required)
· Manufacturing experience (required)
· Punch press experience (preferred)
