Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Experience
- Active North Carolina Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license/certification required
- Previous experience as a VI Teacher or supporting students with visual impairments strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of tools and technology for visually impaired students
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and group instruction to students with varying degrees of visual impairment
- Assess student needs and develop personalized education plans
- Collaborate with general education staff, specialists, and families to support inclusion and accessibility
- Adapt classroom materials and integrate assistive technologies to facilitate student learning
- Track student progress, complete documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
Role Details
- Full-time contract: 37.5 hours per week
- Serve between 20-23 students, all onsite
