Support students with severe autism in a dynamic K-12 educational setting near Levittown, PA, as an ABA paraprofessional. This full-time contract opportunity offers a Monday to Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours per week within a 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM framework, with a tentative assignment through June 2026 aligned to the school calendar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in classrooms providing intensive autism support (Level 3), focused on students with severe behavioral challenges including physical aggression and elopement.
- Implement behavior intervention strategies aligned with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
- Monitor student safety and participate in interventions using advanced protocols as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in a mandatory full-day orientation week prior to starting.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years experience as an ABA paraprofessional in a K-12 classroom setting.
- Reside within 35 minutes of Levittown, PA, and have reliable transportation.
- Ability to commit full-time hours and attend mandatory orientation.
- Fulfillment of Pennsylvania state paraprofessional credentialing requirements through one of the following:
- Two years post-secondary education (48 college credits),
- Associate degree or higher,
- Or state/local assessment credentials such as Child Development Associate (CDA) or PA DOE Credential of Competency.
- If not currently certified, must complete required paraprofessional certification within 60 days of starting.
- Provide two supervisor references and respond to screening questions regarding experience, commitment, and understanding of the role.
