Special Ed Teacher - Levittown, Pennsylvania

This contract opportunity is ideal for certified Special Education Teachers committed to supporting students with moderate to severe needs. Serving multiple school locations in Levittown and nearby areas within Bucks County, PA, this position involves participation in an Extended School Year (ESY) program hosted by a regional educational service agency.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored instruction to students with special education needs during the ESY term.
• Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement individualized education programs.
• Manage classroom environments conducive to learning and positive behavioral support.
• Attend orientation and setup sessions prior to student instruction.
• Support students Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 2:30 pm, with work hours from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm for preparation and wrap-up.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid Pennsylvania certification in Special Education; candidates on Emergency Permits must be actively enrolled in a certification program.
• Experience working with populations requiring support for moderate to severe disabilities and behavioral challenges.
• Reliable transportation and residence within 35 minutes of assigned school locations.
• Ability to commit to the full ESY schedule, including mandatory orientation and instructional dates spanning late June through July.
