Your role will span from August 25, 2026, to June 10, 2027, averaging 18 hours per week (0.5 FTE), Monday through Friday. With a focus on elementary-aged students, you will work collaboratively with supportive colleagues to provide individualized instruction aligned with student needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Experience working with elementary-level students, especially in a resource or self-contained setting
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to diverse student requirements
- Strong collaboration skills for partnering with staff, families, and related service providers
- Passion for fostering growth, independence, and inclusion
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction for students with ABS needs, adapting lessons and strategies to ensure access to curriculum
- Regularly assess student progress and update educational plans accordingly
- Collaborate with general education teachers to implement accommodations and modifications
- Maintain accurate records, IEP documentation, and compliance with all state and federal guidelines
- Engage in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as required
