Your qualifications will make an impact:
- Hold a valid CDE Special Education (SPED) License with Generalist Endorsement (5-21). [Applicants with substitute, temporary, interim, or hybrid/VOCO licenses or credentials will not be considered unless the correct SPED endorsement is already in process, with proof.]
- Your license should read: Professional Teacher License endorsed in Special Education Generalist (5-21)
- Demonstrated experience providing direct instruction and support for students on alternative standards
- Deep understanding of specially designed instruction and a wide range of instructional strategies
- Comprehensive knowledge of the IEP process, including goal setting, progress monitoring, and compliance
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams, ensuring every student’s needs are met
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Delivering tailored lessons for students with diverse abilities, ensuring equitable access and growth
- Developing and implementing IEPs, collaborating with staff and families to support student success
