Make a difference in the lives of students as a Mental Health Specialist for the upcoming school year! This contract opportunity focuses on providing essential social-emotional support to general education students through both individual and group sessions. You’ll collaborate with professionals to develop and implement positive behavioral programs, create a supportive classroom environment, and contribute to professional learning within school buildings as needed.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Hold a master’s degree and a current LARA license in a relevant field (Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related areas)
- Acceptable roles include: Licensed/Limited Licensed Master’s Social Worker, School Social Worker, Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Professional Counselor (Master’s Level)
- Candidates with a Michigan school counseling credential or relevant teaching certificate (NT, SCL, PSCC, TSCL) may be considered, if willing to meet advancement requirements within 24 months
- Commitment to providing direct mental health and social-emotional services to children and adolescents
- Experience with group facilitation, behavioral support program implementation, and collaborative school-based work is highly valued

- Deliver direct social-emotional interventions individually and in group settings
- Support the implementation of positive behavior and social skills programs
- Contribute to professional learning and staff development related to mental health
- Partner with teachers and school staff in creating inclusive, supportive classroom environments
