A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in New Britain, CT, serving elementary school students across two sites, with locations to be determined. This contract position offers a supportive environment with a diverse range of disabilities within inclusion settings, emphasizing collaboration and comprehensive student support.
Position Details:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
- Work hours: 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM
- Contract duration: Immediate start, ending June 9, 2026
- Two openings available
- Onsite work at elementary schools
- Split schedule between two elementary school sites
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license active in Connecticut is required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is required; consideration given to Clinical Fellows (CF) applicants
- Prior school-based experience is essential
- Completion of district fingerprinting and background checks mandatory
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working within inclusive classroom settings
- Candidates without SLP Assistants (SLPA) certifications preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to elementary students within inclusive classroom environments
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student communication goals
- Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with district policies and relevant regulations
