Make a meaningful impact supporting an individual student through one-on-one care in a school-based setting located near Lowell, MA. This contract assignment offers a unique opportunity for an LPN or RN to work closely with an 18-year-old male student who attends an education program in Lexington. Responsibilities include providing individualized nursing services, accompanying the student on transportation to and from school, and assisting throughout the day. There is an anticipated need for ongoing support through the remainder of the 25/26 school year, summer session, and potentially extending into the 26/27 academic year.
What You Bring:
- Valid and current Massachusetts nursing certificate (LPN or RN)
- Experience working in school environments, or a strong desire to support students in educational settings
- Compassion, patience, and reliability for consistent one-on-one care
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Comfort assisting students with multiple diagnoses, including spastic quadriplegia cerebral palsy, visual impairment, and feeding needs
Role Details:
- Provide direct 1:1 nursing services throughout the school day and during transportation
- Support for an 18-year-old male with complex medical needs
- Accompany student from home, on van to school, throughout the program day, and return home
- Summer hours: July 6 – August 7, 8:30am – 2:00pm (full day approx. 8:00am–2:30pm)
- School year hours: 8:00am – 2:50pm (full day approx. 7:30am–3:20pm)
- Commitment for the remainder of the 25/26 school year, summer, and anticipated continuation into the fall and beyond
