Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Bel Air, MD

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1 years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time contract opportunity starts September 2, 2026, and runs through June 17, 2027. As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you’ll work on-site with a varied student population (specific caseload details to follow), collaborating with speech therapists and educational teams to support student progress.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Active Maryland Professional Licensure for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants
• Experience in school-based settings or delivering services to children and adolescents preferred
• Ability to present required professional license documentation
• Completion of House Bill 486 requirements, including background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review (time-sensitive)
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Openness to “prescreen” interviews as part of the internal eligibility process

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language services to students (K-12 caseload details to be determined)
• Collaborate with supervising speech-language pathologists
• Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and track student progress
• Document sessions, prepare materials, and engage with educational teams and families as needed
• Participate in meetings, ongoing training, and follow district protocols
• Travel to assigned schools, as required (number of schools to be determined)
